Continue to support the three music-based PCC funnels, encouraging use of the SACO Funnel by the MLA community and generalist catalogers and continued membership and training for NACO and BIBCO; review documentation residing outside CMC or PCC auspices and plan for collocation and stability of such material

- 32 individual participants, with 4 new members this year, contributed a total of 1,682 new and revised bibliographic records during PCC FY 2023
- Expanded FAQ added to BIBCO Music Funnel website

- NACO-Music project (NMP)
- 89 participants from 63 institutions contributed a total of 18, 849 new and changed name authority records during PCC FY 2023

- In the 2023-2024 MLA meeting year, 6 LCGFT terms, 10 LCMPT terms, 13 subject headings (LCSH), and 2 classification numbers submitted through the Funnel were approved; with a combined 11 terms on tentative lists
- Collaborations with funnel continue to be promoted to generalist catalogers by chair of the Vocabularies Subcommittee

3. Foster a community of practice surrounding BIBFRAME and Linked Data ontologies and projects, increasing visibility of current work and collaborating with interested groups within the MLA or other communities. - Progress:
- The Linked Data Working Group (LWDG) is the primary locus of this community. 25 participants–all MLA members but many outside the CMC umbrella–meet in various combinations twice a month for discussion and working sessions.
- LDWG held a Wikidata Working Week April 15-19, 2024, cosponsored by the Education Committee Professional Development Workshops Subcommittee and the Emerging Technologies & Services Committee. Participants ranged from beginners to LDWG members. A total of 41 participants created 170 Wikidata items, edited 330 items, and made a total of 3,510 edits for projects focused on art songs, music libraries and archives, and sheet music publishers.
4. Continue working toward stability and improvement of CMC organization: transfer materials to MLA archives; foster communication and community within CMC using a variety of platforms; incorporate suggestions growing out of the work of MLA’s Committee Management Team.

- “Metadata-Focused DEIA Training” page launched March 2024, highlighting free trainings and presentations that support the implicit bias/DEIA training requirement for MLA service.
- Featured CMC news feed post highlighting subject heading revisions to minstrelsy terms by the SACO funnel and Vocabularies Subcommittee.
6. Continue to develop outward communication toward regular or occasional catalogers of music materials outside MLA, and toward non-catalogers in the music library community.

- Regular posts to CMC news feed, with posts or promoted content also pushed to the Music Cataloging Bulletin, MLA-L, and other email lists as appropriate. Topics include notification of updates to MLA best practices, automation tools, meeting agendas and summaries, and PCC funnel updates.
- Sponsored “De-Mystifying Cataloging for Public Services” session at MLA 2024 meeting, with excellent attendance by public services colleagues.
- CMC Town Hall 2024 slides posted to Knowledge Commons (formerly Humanities Commons).
7. Continued discussions with the Publications Committee and other stakeholders regarding transition of the Music Cataloging Bulletin to open access.Collaborate as appropriate with other MLA groups, other music-related groups, ALA groups, other library- or information-related groups, and Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC).
